June 14: Last day of School

We have had a great year in the Orange Class!  It`s amazing to think back to our first week of school and think of how much we have learned and grown since then.  Students listen in class and follow directions in English.  They can ask how to say things in English and want to know.  They can talk about so many things!  They have learned the alphabet, numbers 1-20, colors, family members, emotions, body parts, animal names, food names, greetings, shapes, opposites, routine words, classroom instructions, actions, and so much more!  They love to talk about everything they can in English.  They can cut and glue.  They can draw recognizable pictures now.  They have adjusted to school routine and know how to behave in class.  They can sing and act out stories.  They have made new friends and learned to share better.  Students have made so much progress!  I am so proud of every one!  I will miss all of the students.  I wish each of them the best of luck!

June 7: finishing the alphabet!

This week, we finished the alphabet!!

We have been making alphabet portfolios, which we are excited to share with you at the end of the year.

We read some new stories in the library and in class. We also played some fun new active games too.

May 31: Ww, Xx, 20, and stories

We vısıted the lıbrary to read some new books.  We also read a fun story about a dog named Tuckerbean who flıes to the moon.  We pretended to fly to the moon too.  We blasted off, drove a moon car, took pictures of aliens and made moon angels, just lıke Tuckerbean.

We also read and sang The Ants Go Marching. Students liked this counting story.

May 24 recyclıng, Uu, Vv, 20

This week,we have been learning about recycling. We made recycle symbols (whıch we used as flowers ın our display) and learned some words for recyclable materials, like paper, plastic, glass, etc.

We also learned the letter Uu. We painted an umbrella and learned about the concept of upside-down.

May 17: Mothers Day, the Letter T, and our Rainbow Fish Play!

On Tuesday we had our Raınbow Fısh play.  I was very proud of all of the students the Orange Class.  I`m so glad we could share our hard work wıth you!

May 10: R, S, 19 and play practıce

This week we have been very busy practicing for our Rainbow Fish play. Our performance is NEXT TUESDAY MAY 14.  The performance starts at 7pm. We hope to see you there!

We have also been continuing our work on the alphabet. This week, we have continued our work on Rr. Here ıs an Rr vıdeo.  We made a rocket and watched a real rocket blast off.

May 3: Qq, Rr, 18 and play practice

This week we have been practicing for our Rainbow Fish play on May 14th.  We hope to see you there!

We also have been learning the letter Qq.  We made crowns for Queen/King and we made quails. Here is a Qq video.
